Paul Hartsuyker

Paul is a freelance graphic designer (Hartworks, San Diego) and teaches at community schools and individual tutoring, using his MFA, MA, Certificate in Computer Applications. His company, Hartworks provides graphic design services in a variety of areas. When not earning a living, he creates large pencil drawings that echo "magical realism" themes, has written children's stories, to be illustrated and animated, and has a deep interest in Dreamwork, teaching this also. His mixture of interests and skills in a variety of disciplines and software provides an unusual contribution to the Short Project.

Chris is currently working on several projects as a Freelancer in Chico, California. He recently graduated from the DAVE school in Orlando as part of the "Creepers" animated short class. He has also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Graphics at California State University at Chico in May of 2007. His latest project was a Star Wars fan film trailer called Tales of the New Republic (http://www.talesofthenewrepublic.com) where he was one of the main riggers and also modeled a few characters. After the daily grind, Chris enjoys spending time with his fiancée, writing Lscripts for Lightwave (http://www.chrisepeterson.com/lscripts.html), and constantly learning new ways to achieve things in 3D.

Charles currently works as the Lead Designer for The Graphic Arts Center, a company specializing in signs, screenprinting, and computer graphics. After the day job, he works as a freelance CG artist, and has collaborated on several projects with other artists internationally. His well rounded experience in a variety of disciplines and software provides a great contribution to the many creative requirements of the Short Project.

Alex works as a freelancer and an illustrator. Currently he attends the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. Alex entered not only one complete set of designs for Phase 1 but three, each of which was excellent.

Cezary is a M. Sc. Engineer Architect and City Planner from Technical University of Lodz and is also a student at the Film School in Lodz. For the past two years Cezary has been working as a freelance Combustion artist for production house Opus Film that is leading producer of TV commercials in Poland. He has also founded his own small company SPLINE-MEDIA which offers services from designing to digital postproduction such as compositing, retouching, motiondesign and etc.

Eric lives in Santa Maria, CA, and runs Stillwater Pictures, a small studio whose primary goal is to produce feature length animated film projects. Eric landed in 3d in 1997 and found it to be the perfect blend of the things he really like about art: illustration, photography, and the dynamic aspect of time and animation. While doing R&D on the rigs for their film project Eric and his partner Brian Pace began developing an auto-rigger that would eventually become Maestro. They were so pleased with the results that they decided to bring it to the LightWave masses. Outside of his movie project Eric also works on product design, from artificial tree branches to airplanes. Eric also continues to do a little graphic design and photography when the need arises.

Greg Sullivan, who created the Short Project production model also provides the script for the first production and is excited to be serving as both producer and director. Greg's previous animation credits include Indiana Jones and the Treasure of Templars, From Salt Lake to Mesa, Plato's Cave, God's Top Ten with Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Furry Tales Pt. 1 and 2 and countless regional and national television ads. Greg has also served as a screenwriter for the upcoming animated feature Thru the Moebius Strip and as lead writer for the animated series Panshel's World. You will also find Greg featured in four training DVDs from Desktop Images where he teaches viewers various aspects of animation using NewTek's LightWave.

Angela is a proud graduate of USC with a degree in Music Business. An accomplished singer and voice actress Angela currently works at Fox Studios where she helps run the sound and scoring stages. Prior to working at Fox Angela contributed her talents as a licensed broker at Bear Stearns. Her extensive experience in the entertainment industry and her strong leadership and organizational skills make her the perfect person to coordinate a production like the Short Project that is bound to get very complicated before the end.

Patrick brings a wealth of musical talent and production experience to the Short Project. Having studied music composition, arranging, keyboard and conducting at La Verne University and later at Grove School of Music Patrick now owns and operates his own studio out of Covina California. Patrick's extensive credits include the upcoming horror film Hood of Horror starring Snoop Dogg, the animated series Panshel's World and the animated feature film Thru the Moebius Strip. Patrick has also prepared the vocal scores for Barnyard, Madagascar, Cat in the Hat, Shrek 2 and Spirit for Dreamworks SKG.

A graduate of CSUF with a BS in Computer Science Brett Swaim comes to the Short Project by way of a long working relationship with the director. Through his current position at Liferay Brett is able to provide the tools and expertise required to make such a complicated project run smoothly. Other clients of Brett's include the University of California, Irvine, The Discovery Channel and Eli Lilly. Brett is excited to be involved with the Short Project and anticipates many long nights putting out the inevitable fires that are bound to arise.
